In the agriculture sector, Ekium assists customers with design, innovation, and documentation of special purpose machinery to improve their operations.

Belvidere Ridge are producers of premium chaff animal feed in Greenock, South Australia. They export globally and currently use a hydraulic press to compress the chaff bags for transportation locally and overseas.

Looking to increase the production of their current facility, Belvidere Ridge engaged us to design a new hydraulic press that would allow for higher compression, greater automation and reduced operating cycle time.

Utilising our expertise in mechanical design, hydraulic integration and 3D modelling, we designed a new hydraulic press, press feeding system and ancillaries to automate their current manual process.

The system evolved from a single press to a press and custom loading mechanism with automated custom conveyor feed systems.
